Professional Background and Leadership
Mr. Weg’s many authored articles have been published in the Commercial Law Journal, California Bankruptcy Court Reporter, Real Estate Law Journal, and Business Law News. He has lectured widely for such organizations as the American Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute, State Bar of California and Financial Lawyers Conference.
An active member of the Bankruptcy Bar and leader in the legal profession, Mr. Weg serves on the Board of Directors of the American College of Bankruptcy. He has served on the Executive Committee and as chair of the Education Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California and currently participates in several committees of the American Bar Association. In addition, Mr. Weg is a past president and member of the Board of Governors of the Financial Lawyers Conference.
Mr. Weg, who is the managing partner of Peitzman Weg LLP, began practicing bankruptcy and commercial law in 1980 after he received his L.L.M. from Yale Law School. His recognitions include Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, The Best Lawyers in America, Southern California “Super Lawyer,” and “Bankruptcy Lawyer of the Year” by the Century City Bar Association.
