About The Firm
The founding partners spent years leading the bankruptcy and litigation groups of mega and full-service law firms. They trace their roots back to Gendel, Raskoff, Shapiro & Quittner, a national restructuring, bankruptcy boutique in Los Angeles that dissolved in the early 1990s. When establishing their own firm in 1999 in Los Angeles, they brought together their valuable experience as elite Big Law counsel with an uncompromising level of cutting-edge and custom solutions for their client’s problems.
“From the start, our goal has been to be the best restructuring/bankruptcy boutique law firm focused on California,” according to founding partner Lawrence Peitzman. For Peitzman Weg, this has meant rather than throwing scores of “bodies” at a case, attorneys craft strategic, custom and often unprecedented, approaches to clients’ challenges.
Our firm’s growth over the past decade has been fueled by talented legal minds, graduates of top law schools seeking a substantive and high-impact career. Our culture is personified by a collegial group of individuals with a deep capacity and appreciation for our clients’ needs for their own advocate, as well as for the reality of modern business.
